![]() ![]() ![]() We did some pretty stupid things as kids in the '70s. Dad bought me a case of R12 freon and I was set for months with that sucker, just punching holes in mother nature. This thing had foam wheels, which soaked up the bumps on the sidewalk, so it went pretty straight. That is, until I found the Estes freon-powered rocket car. I took some of my 1/25 scale model cars and drilled 3/4" holes in the back, and stuffed C-6-5 rocket motors in 'em, and let them disintegrate as they shot down the sidewalk. My dad got me into model rockets, and from then on it was pretty much about anything that I could stuff a rocket motor into. My ride in the '70s was a Huffy Monoshock. SST cars, the Girder and Panel Building Set, the helicopter, Evel Knievel. Holy crap this thread is taking me back! I had most of the toys you guys are talking about. ![]()
